
Esso announces new chairman and managing director
Esso (Thailand) Public Company Limited has announced the appointment of Adisak Jangkamolkulchai as its new chairman and managing director effective 4 February 2020. Adisak is the first Thai to assume this position.
At the same time, he will also serve as chairman and managing director of ExxonMobil Limited, executive director of Thailand Major Growth Venture, as well as lead country manager of ExxonMobil affiliates in Thailand.
He succeeds Jeremy R. Osterstock, who has relocated to the ExxonMobil Corporation office in the United States.
Adisak received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Technology from Chulalongkorn University, in Bangkok, Thailand and a Master of Science in Engineering and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tulsa, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, U.S.A.
He has worked for affiliates of ExxonMobil Corporation in a number of managerial positions during his 28-year career, which included the following posts: director and refinery manager of Esso (Thailand); and, engineering manager of Europe/Middle East/Asia Pacific of ExxonMobil Engineering Europe Limited.
