Emery Oleochemicals expands bio-lubricants commercial team
Emery Oleochemicals, a world leading, natural–based specialty chemicals producer and the world’s largest commercial producer of azelaic acid, is expanding its bio-lubricants commercial team.
Alexis Weber and Michael Chong have joined Emery Oleochemicals as sales manager based in Düsseldorf, Germany, and as regional sales manager based in Telok Panglima Garang, Malaysia, respectively. They will both be leading customer and regional initiatives as part of the bio-lubricants ongoing global growth strategy.
Weber joined Emery Oleochemicals from Nynas Naphtenics Germany. He brings tremendous experience selling specialty products to a variety of industrial market segments, managing key accounts and selling customized solutions to the lubricant market segment. Weber has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Chemistry.
Chong joined Emery Oleochemicals from Brenntag Sdn Bhd. He has 12 years of sales experience in both specialties and industrial chemicals, with significant experience developing new business, expanding market penetration and coverage. Chong has a Bachelor’s degree in Business/Management.
Emery Oleochemicals, headquartered in Selangor, Malaysia, is a 50-50 joint venture between Malaysia’s Sime Darby Plantation and Thailand’s PTT Global Chemical.
