Dover Chemical launches new polymeric ester additive
Dover Chemical Corporation, the leading producer of S, P, Cl and synthetic extreme pressure (EP) additives, has commercialized a polymeric ester additive to improve lubricity for the metalworking industry.
DOVERLUBE 31700 is an oil soluble, non-staining, proprietary polymeric ester for metalworking fluid and lubricant applications. DOVERLUBE 31700 imparts lubricity and can be utilized to enhance or replace EP additives in formulations. DOVERLUBE 31700 can be used synergistically with sulfur and phosphorus to enhance performance or reduce their usage levels. Alternatively it can reduce or replace chloroparaffins on a part for part chlorine basis.
DOVERLUBE 31700 is soluble in both naphthenic and paraffinic base oils and can be used in soluble and semi synthetic metalworking fluid formulations for both ferrous and non-ferrous applications. Additionally, DOVERLUBE 31700 exhibits excellent thermal & hydrolytic stability, oxidative resistance, and is low residue.
