Although global demand for phosphorous and its derivatives has
decreased in recent years, Norberto Gatti from Italmatch still sees a bright
future for the company. Italmatch, a privately owned Italian company based
in Genova has been in the phosphorous business since before World War II.
At the time, the company produced matches, thus the name Italmatch
Chemicals. Today, the company is the leader in the production of
phosphorus chemicals, including phosphorus intermediates and additives
for lubricants, flame retardants, water management and other fields.
