Chevron Oronite to present at F+L Week 2018 in Macao

Chevron Oronite is both sponsoring and presenting at F+L Week, which is taking place March 6-9, 2018 on the Cotai Strip in Macao at the Four Seasons Hotel.

Ian Elliott, product development engineer, Chevron Oronite, will be giving a presentation titled Olefin Copolymers Designed to Provide Robust Low-Temperature Performance with High Thickening Efficiency on March 7, 2018 at 15:30. “This presentation will explore the development of a new mid-SSI (shear stability index) OCP, with the goal of achieving uncompromised low-temperature performance while maintaining high thickening efficiency and thus yielding low polymer treat rates in formulated finished oils,” he said.

Mahboobeh Hosseini, research engineer, automotive engine oils product development, Chevron Oronite, will be giving a presentation titled A Full Lubrication Solution to TGDI engines in China and Asia on March 9, 2018 at 10:30. “The purpose of this study was to investigate a mid-ash engine oil formulation that offers superior performance in the area of LSPI, timing chain wear and turbocharger cleanliness. Results have shown that optimized formulations can control these new challenges both in engine tests and field tests,” she said.

Now in its 24th year, F+L Week is the premier fuels, lubricants, additives and base oils conference in Asia Pacific and the convergence of the Annual Fuels & Lubes Asia Conference and the Asia-Pacific Base Oil Conference.
