Castrol unveils new VECTON lubricant for heavy-duty vehicles

Castrol has unveiled a new addition to its VECTON line of commercial vehicle lubricants, designed to meet the latest ACEA 2022 Heavy-Duty (HD) specifications. The Castrol VECTON LONG DRAIN 5W-30 E6/E9 is a fully synthetic engine oil that provides enhanced protection and longer drain intervals for heavy-duty vehicles, addressing the increasing complexity of modern engine hardware and the rising use of alternative fuels.

This new product replaces VECTON FUEL SAVER 5W-30 E6/E9 in Castrol’s line-up and offers an upgraded specification profile including the new ACEA HD specifications E8 and E11. These new specifications are aimed at addressing increasing hardware complexity and the growing adoption of alternative fuels. Castrol VECTON LONG DRAIN 5W-30 E6/E9 also represents significant advances in lubricant performance levels, offering increased protection against oxidation and deposits. The new product also incorporates the latest American Petroleum Institute (API) tests, leading to greater global synergies across API and ACEA.
