Castrol India appoints Jyoti Prakash as head of Supply Chain
Castrol India Limited has appointed Jyoti Prakash as vice president and head of Supply Chain, effective from November 1, 2024. Prakash will take over from Mayank Pandey, who relinquished his role on July 30, 2024.
With more than 19 years of experience, Prakash has been instrumental in driving business projects and enhancing supply chain efficiencies across multiple business verticals. He has played a transformative role in large-scale and multi-layered supply chain operations throughout his career.
Prakash holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical from BIT Sindri and an MBA from the S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR). He began his career with Tata Motors in Jamshedpur, where he led the manufacturing team and was recognised as the Kaizen Champion for his unit.
Since joining Castrol in 2008, Prakash has worked in various operational and strategic roles, leading initiatives such as capacity and operational planning, network optimisation, and product traceability. His contributions have been key in helping Castrol India achieve its growth objectives, including overseeing production and distribution for more than 210 million litres annually.
Prakash is currently leading digital intervention projects focusing on decision intelligence, ensuring Castrol maintains a competitive edge. He is also heavily involved in business operations, including Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), service-level frameworks, and distributor service models.
