Castrol expands aftermarket offerings with new partnerships in filters and batteries

Castrol, a global leader in lubricants and automotive products, has unveiled two significant partnerships aimed at expanding its product portfolio and entering new markets. The company has teamed up with Denckermann, a Polish distributor of automotive filters and parts, to introduce a range of high-quality vehicle filters designed to enhance performance and extend the lifespan of vehicles. This new line will include oil, air, cabin, and fuel filters, all branded under Castrol, and will be available in the European market by late 2024.

In addition to the Denckermann partnership, Castrol has formed a strategic alliance with Mutlu Aku, one of Turkey’s largest battery manufacturers. This collaboration marks Castrol’s first venture into the automotive battery market, offering a new range of premium batteries for both conventional and hybrid vehicles. The move reflects Castrol’s ongoing efforts to diversify its offerings and meet the increasing demand for energy-efficient solutions in the automotive sector.

Marta Lozano Barrero, Castrol’s head of Masterbrand and Communications, stated, “This partnership is aimed at further serving our customers’ evolving needs. Extending our product portfolio to include Castrol automotive batteries is part of our strategy to expand beyond our core product categories to encompass a wider range of aftermarket products. We aim to appeal to consumers with a range of premium yet competitively priced products designed to keep their vehicles running at optimum performance.”

The new line of Castrol automotive batteries are set to hit the European market by the end of 2024.

The partnership with Mutlu Aku was facilitated by Castrol’s global brand licensing agency, LMCA.
