Caltex expands e-commerce lubricants footprint in Asia-Pacific

Caltex, marketed by Chevron Singapore Pte Ltd, has introduced their range of lubricants and fuel system cleaners across Pakistan’s and Southeast Asia’s leading digital marketplaces – Daraz, Lazada, and Shopee.

“In today’s technology age, e-commerce is one of the fastest growing industries in the region and is an avenue that has allowed us to reach new customers, and build stronger and deeper relationships with existing ones,” said Sheryl Law, regional marketing manager, Finished Lubricant, Asia Pacific & Pakistan. “Our goal is to capture the growing online customer demand with our expanded e-commerce presence and cater to those who may not have easy access to brick-and-mortar workshops or retail stations. These important partnerships we have with retailers across the region enable a new, digitalised and convenient shopping experience for automotive shoppers.”

With the Covid-19 pandemic, consumers are turning to online platforms to purchase all kinds of goods – from groceries, to appliances, and even automotive products. Drivers and motorcyclists are also savvier and more demanding about the care needed for their vehicles, and having an expanded online presence allows Caltex to meet these changing needs across all fronts.

Consumers can find out more about Caltex’s range of lubricants and Techron® fuel system cleaners through its website and product listings, compare specifications and technologies, and make informed purchase decisions from the comforts of their home. The online platforms are meant to complement Caltex’s existing sales channels and make the entire purchasing experience convenient and safe for consumers.

More than 30 different products from Caltex, Havoline® and Delo® can be found on the Caltex flagship store, catering to drivers of both cars and trucks, and motorcyclists.

“The response has been very positive so far as we are seeing a rising curve in online sales in Pakistan by more than 300% within a short span of one month. More importantly, we can interact and gain first hand feedback about our products from our e-consumers which we feel is highly valuable,” said Law.

Caltex Singapore’s official e-commerce presence was marked with the debut of the new Havoline range of motorcycle lubricants. Earlier this year, the brand unveiled a new generation of four-stroke motorcycle engine oils that maximise engine performance and deliver smooth engine operation on all road conditions.

The new product line for motorcycles and scooters includes fully synthetic, semi-synthetic and mineral products formulated with Havoline’s signature C.O.R.E.+ Technology, and ZOOMTECH.

In addition, scooter owners can purchase Caltex Havoline Scooter Gear Oil SAE 80W-90. The online store allows all motorcyclists to enjoy the cleaning powers of Techron Concentrate Plus for motorcycles.
