Tortoise Wins Best Place to Work in Money Management by Pensions & Investments
LEAWOOD, Kan.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Tortoise placed first in this year’s Pension & Investments’
“Money Managers with 100 to 499 Employees” category. Tortoise was named
a Best Place to Work in Money Management for 2017 by Pensions &
Investments for the fourth year in a row.
Presented by Pensions & Investments, the global news source
of money management, the survey and recognition program is dedicated to
identifying and recognizing the best employers in the money management
industry.
“At Tortoise, serving our clients is our top priority, and serving our
staff who take care of our clients is a close second,” said Tortoise
CEO, Kevin Birzer. “As an added advantage, investing in essential assets
such as energy, renewables and water, creates both societal benefits and
personal fulfillment for our associates.”
Pensions & Investments partnered with Best Companies Group,
an independent research firm specializing in identifying great places to
work, to conduct a two-part survey process of employers and their
employees.
The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's
workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics.
This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total
evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure
the employee experience. This part of the process was worth
approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores
determined the top companies.
