Telensa, Georgia Power, City of Harrisburg and Northeastern Group to Participate in Panel on Connected LED Streetlights at Smart Cities Connect

Pioneering vendor, city and utility representatives to deliver
deployment case studies and explore economic impact and Smart City
potential of connected LED streetlights

AUSTIN, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Telensa,

applications, will host a panel discussion at this week’s Smart
Cities Connect
, featuring case studies from a pioneering City and
Utility that have deployed connected LED Streetlights. Wayne S. Martin,
the City Engineer for City of Harrisburg, PA will be presenting
on how the entire city was converted to connected LED streetlighting,
and the impact it has had, and Scotty M. Hutto, Lighting Services
Manager at Georgia Power will be discussing the world’s largest
connected LED streetlight deployment.

The panel will be moderated by Jack Hanley, Telensa’s VP Sales
North America and will also feature Ben Gardner, President, Northeastern
Group
which predicts that by 2026 95% of the North America’s
streetlights will be LED and 65% will be connected “smart” streetlights.
The session will also explore the market drivers for this
transformation, examine the business case for combining smart controls
with LED conversion and discuss examples from around the world of how
connected street-lighting is providing a simple low-cost platform for
Smart City applications.
