April 2017
THE WOODLANDS, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Target Logistics Management, LLC ("Target Logistics"), a global leader
in remote accommodations and the largest provider of turnkey workforce
housing in the U.S., announced today the asset purchase of the 208-room
former Black Gold Lodging facility in Odessa, Texas. Target Logistics
began operating the Odessa East Lodge in April of 2017.
The Odessa East Lodge is one of seven lodges owned and operated by
Target Logistics in the Permian Basin and is part of the company’s
expansive network of eight lodges in Texas. The 208 single-occupancy
rooms, combined with a best-in-class guest experience, are helping
Target Logistics match the increasing level of activity in the region
and are allowing the company to better serve its customers operating in
West Texas.
“We are focused on meeting the needs of our customers and we are pleased
to be able to expand our network and service offerings to match the
increasing demand of our customers operating in the Permian,” said
Target Logistics President and Chief Executive Officer Brad Archer. “Oil
and gas companies understand the benefits of providing their workers
with a secure and comfortable place to stay, and how it positively
impacts morale, productivity, and most importantly, safety.”
When Target Logistics began operating the lodge in April of this year,
it began retrofitting all rooms with its proprietary Hibernator Sleep
System mattresses, which improve sleep quality and help guests stay
properly rested for their 12-hour days on the job site.
Target Logistics’ culinary-trained chefs have delivered over 140,000
meals since April and continue to prepare fresh food daily, ensuring
guests are well fed and energized to get their jobs done. Known for its
food and hospitality services, Target Logistics’ 24/7 dining facilities
provide guests with nutritious, diverse selections, including a six-week
rotational menu, a-la-carte grill options, hand-cut French fries,
handmade pastries, steak nights, smoked barbeque on Saturdays and
various food style-themed nights.
“Our customers are counting on us to help them recruit and retain the
top talent in the industry, and one of the ways we support them in this
effort is by keeping their employees well rested and well fed,” said
Target Logistics Senior Vice President of Business Development &
Marketing Troy Schrenk. “Our guest experience is unmatched and provides
our customers with a key differentiator at a competitive time, in a
competitive region."
The lodge is also tailored to meet the needs of Target Logistics’ key
customers operating in the Permian Basin, complete with private guest
rooms, Wi-Fi, recreation facilities, controlled-entry access,
housekeeping services and hospitality management. Target Logistics
maintains a “zero tolerance” drug and alcohol policy at all of its
lodges.
