SWCOGEN is Pleased to Announce Thomas W. Smith as Chief Executive Officer

PARSIPPANY, N.J.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#CHP–Thomas W. Smith accepted the position of Chief Executive Officer of
Sterling and Wilson Cogen Solutions LLC (SWCOGEN) effective January 1,
2018. SWCOGEN provides end-to-end solutions for Combined Heat and Power
(CHP) and alternative energy applications. Tom comes with over 35 years
of successful power generation experience in the North American Micro
Grid/CHP/Demand Response markets. Across his career, Tom has been
involved in delivering over 1000 MW+ of Power Generation Systems.

“Sterling and Wilson (SW), a global energy company, is expanding its
business operations in North America with the vision of becoming a
dominant player in the distributed energy space. Over the last several
years, we have formed an excellent team with decades of experience in
the North American CHP market. Now with Tom coming on board, combined
with the government’s increased focus on promoting energy efficient
solutions, SW is confident of capitalizing on the region’s growing
distributed power generation potential,” says SW’s global Cogen CEO
Rajesh Shah.

Prior to joining SWCOGEN, Mr. Smith was the President of Professional
Power Products (3PI), a 200-person power generation company. Under Tom’s
guidance, the company reached its largest revenue in the company’s
30-plus-year history. He also founded, grew and sold CPL DG Group, Inc.
and Endurant Energy LLC, two power development/service companies.

Mr. Smith has a Business Degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio,
completed the multi-year Westinghouse Electric Executive Training
Program, and is a member of the Midwest Cogen Association Board, CHP
Association, and BOMA Chicago Energy Center Board. He has testified in
numerous state rate cases for the alternative energy and distributed
generation industries.

“SW has a long culture of exceeding customer expectations by going the
extra mile in designing and implementing customized offerings and
standing behind their performance, this is exactly what the North
American market has been lacking. Today SWCOGEN is possibly the only
player in the industry with the resources to successfully offer a
complete solution from start to finish including feasibility, design,
engineering, permitting, financing facilitation, equipment supply,
installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of projects.
SWCOGEN is perfectly positioned to capture the distributed generation
industries' long-standing demand for a well-capitalized player that can
offer a single point of project responsibility.” remarks Mr. Smith.

SWCOGEN provides best-in-class Engineering Procurement and Construction
solutions at the Lowest Total Cost of Ownership for the industrial,
commercial, institutional and hospitality markets. SWCOGEN currently has
North American operations in the East Coast/Midwest and is in the
process of expanding into other locations. SWCOGEN has over 1800 MW of
installed gas and biomass based power generation projects worldwide.
