Solaris Water Midstream Begins Operation of Its Pecos Star System
HOUSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Solaris
Water Midstream, LLC (ÔÇ£Solaris WaterÔÇØ) announced today that
operations have commenced on Phase One of its flagship Pecos Star
System. Located in Eddy and Lea counties in New Mexico and Culberson and
Loving counties in Texas, the system serves oil and gas producers
working in the prolific Delaware Basin by gathering, transporting,
recycling and disposing of produced water. Current customers include
three of the largest operators in the Permian Basin.
The Pecos Star System, once fully built out, will include an extensive
integrated network of more than 300 miles of high-capacity gathering and
distribution pipelines ranging from 12 to 16 inches in diameter, dozens
of disposal wells, storage ponds, aboveground storage and recycling
facilities. The system is designed to provide unparalleled flexibility
to move water across the entire system with multiple connections to oil
and gas operators for produced water, water supply, disposal wells and
recycling facilities.
Phase One of Solaris WaterÔÇÖs Pecos Star System comprises approximately
50 miles of 12- and 16-inch produced-water pipelines, multiple
disposal-well connections, the ability to supply recycled water and
freshwater wells and ponds. The system is supported by long-term acreage
dedications and minimum volume commitments from Solaris Water customers.
The build-out of additional phases is well underway with continuous
construction expected over the course of the coming year.
