Saint-Gobain’s New BarbLock HH PAD Tool Simplifies Tubing Retainer Assembly
The new device improves installation time and provides greater
flexibility when assembling BarbLock® tubing retainers.
SOLON, Ohio–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics has developed an innovative assembly
option for installing its patented BarbLock® tubing retainers. The HH
PAD tool is a Hand-Held Pneumatic Assembly Device with an easy-to-use,
ergonomic design that consistently closes BarbLock retainers in one
simple step, speeding the installation process and saving valuable time.
Compatible with tubing sizes from ¼” OD to ¾” OD, the HH PAD assembly
device features a quick-change jaw design that eliminates the need for
tools during jaw changeover. With its lightweight construction and
integrated counterbalance feature, the HH PAD tool offers improved
mobility and multiple position configurations for greater flexibility
when assembling BarbLock retainers.
“As bioprocess single-use applications continue to become more complex,
the new BarbLock HH PAD tool delivers the ease, speed and versatility
required for innovative design assembly,” said Mark Meyer, Product
Manager — BioProcess Solutions, Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics.
Recognized as the standard of the industry for their unique ability to
ensure leak-free connections between fittings and tubes, BarbLock
ultra-secure retainers are an innovative replacement for traditional
cable ties used in critical fluid transfer applications. Quick and easy
to assemble, BarbLock retainers feature a full 360° radial compression
