PURE Bioscience Receives Initial Orders from Leading Foodservice Distributor for PURE® Hard Surface Food Transport Sanitization Solution

Order Marks Second Food Transportation Application for New
SDC-Based Antimicrobial Solution

SAN DIEGO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–$PURE #PURE–PURE Bioscience, Inc. (OTCQB:
PURE
), creator of the patented, non-toxic silver dihydrogen citrate (SDC)
antimicrobial, announced today that a leading foodservice distributor
has placed initial orders for PURE® Hard Surface disinfectant to be used
as a new, more effective, time-efficient transportation sanitization
solution on trucks and trailers transporting food.

Food transport sanitization is a new $50M+ US market for PURE. The
distributor expects to use the PHS solution system wide as their new
standard operating procedure. Fully deployed system wide, this customer
represents approximately $3M+ in annual revenue potential to PURE.

PURE
Genius Truck Sanitization

In PURE’s proprietary solution, EPA registered PURE Hard Surface is
spray applied with a proprietary application method inside truck
trailers that transport food to quickly eliminate microorganisms,
preventing cross contamination. Results of extensive testing with this
customer demonstrated a rapid 5+ Log (100,000 CFU) reduction in
pathogens with full coverage application in compliance with the new FSMA
(Food Safety Modernization Act) rule.

In addition to a 5+ Log pathogen reduction, benefits of the PURE
transportation solution include:

  • Faster sanitization, reduces trailer turn-around time to :15 minutes
    vs. 2 hours
  • Provides 24-hour residual protection
  • Labor productivity savings + reduced water usage
  • Full coverage – refrigeration unit & air duct treated every time
  • Non-corrosive, odorless and non-caustic; mitigates bacterial resistance

Hank
R. Lambert
, Chief Executive Officer, said, “We are thrilled by the
rapid acceptance of our new food transportation solution by one of North
America’s largest foodservice distributors. Our ability to offer
carriers and distributors user-friendly trailer disinfection with
significant labor savings, while minimizing downtime, are important
bottom line differentiators. We anticipate follow-on orders from this
distributor later in calendar Q1. We are also in advanced discussions
with other food transport companies, and look forward to building this
new market for PURE.”

In December, PURE announced it had received its first food
transportation industry order from iGPS
Logistics
, the leading plastic pallet pooling service provider in
North America.
