Nanochemistry Innovator Light Polymers Releases Crystallin®: Spectrum-Specific LED Downlighting
As the LED lighting industry experiences exponential growth,
Crystallin® raises the standard
SAN FRANCISCO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Light Polymers today revealed the upcoming Crystallin®
product line, with spectrum-specific, lyotropic based photonic films.
Lyotropic material technology is now being applied to create an advanced
photonic film that enables safe, comfortable, high color rendering index
(CRI) downlights. Saving 20% to 25% on electricity costs, Crystallin®
downlights have less lumen drop and color shift over time versus current
LED based downlight offerings.
“With the release of Crystallin®, the mainstream downlight
category now has very high quality, low glare, safe and comfortable
lighting at affordable prices,” remarked Marc McConnaughey, CEO at Light
Polymers. “With the ability to block harmful UV emissions and deliver
specific spectrums for any application, Crystallin® is
positioned to revolutionize LED downlighting in homes and businesses.”
“Light Polymers proprietary chemistry delivers LED lighting products
with more blue-light to white-light conversion ability than standard
encapsulated phosphor configurations. Our lyotropic materials allow more
phosphor to be packed into a thinner film,” according to Sergey Fedotov,
Sr. Manager of Marketing Operations.
Light Polymers is introducing the Value, Performance and Premium Product
Lines with 8 different 6” downlights. Crystallin Gold Performance offers
an industry leading color rendering index of 98+ for the highest quality
of light at a breakthrough price of $14.99 MSRP. Crystallin Orange, Red
and Blue are application specific downlights. Crystallin Orange is the
best lighting students and programmers can use to focus. Crystallin Red
is excellent for night lighting. Crystallin Blue is a unique accent
light for interior design. Crystallin Grow is a small area plant grow
light. Crystallin Salon is specifically made for enhancing colors in
beauty salons. Light Polymers also announces today Crystallin Custom,
which allows customer defined spectra to be ordered.
“Our nanochemistry technology expands the application of the
multi-million unit downlight market,” said Marc McConnaughey.
“Crystallin downlights are high-quality, safe, comfortable and
affordable LED downlights that have the ability to provide light with a
specific spectrum and are ideal for many applications.”
Crystallin® downlights will be available through select distributors in
Asia in August and debut in the US in October. Visit www.crystallinlighting.com
