Mexichem Provides Update on its Ingleside Ethylene Cracker

  • The ethylene cracker appears to be in good physical condition but
    further assessments will be conducted

TLALNEPANTLA DE BAZ, Mexico–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Mexichem, S.A.B. de C.V. (BMV: MEXCHEM*) (“The Company” or “Mexichem”)
reports that its ethylene cracker, Ingleside Ethylene, LLC, the 50/50
joint venture between Occidental Chemical Corporation (OxyChem) and
Mexichem, located near Corpus Christi, Texas, was shut down safely
before Hurricane Harvey made landfall. The ethylene cracker appears to
be in good physical condition but further assessments of all the
facilities at the site, including the cracker, will be conducted when it
is safe to do so.
