certified by the “Oeko-Tex Standard 100” for textile safety.

1. Background on becoming “Oeko-Tex Standard 100” certified |

“Oeko-Tex Standard 100” is a certification system that certifies that a textile product is safe and does not contain any harmful substances. The Oeko-Tex International Association started certification in Europe in 1992. |

Concern for environmentally compatible products has increased in recent years, and increasingly, the same environmental compatibility is sought for the parts and materials that make up products as for the products themselves. |

During the past year, Kuraray Fastening switched all of its fabric hook and loop fasteners to polyester hook and loop fasteners made by ecological production process, which do not use a back-coating agent. Acquiring this certification by “Oeko-Tex Standard 100” provides our customers with a distinct, environmentally friendly option. |
