Illinois American Water and Iowa American Water Announce New Director of Engineering

BELLEVILLE, Ill.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Beth Matthews has been promoted to Director of Engineering for
Illinois American Water and Iowa American Water. In her new role,
Matthews will manage and coordinate capital investment projects and
engineering activities in both states.

Joining Illinois American Water in 2010 as a planning engineer, Matthews
was later promoted to manager of an asset planning group and then to
manager of project delivery, a position she held since 2015. She earned
her bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Bradley University and a
master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Missouri University of Science
and Technology.

Matthews replaces Jeff Kaiser, who served in the director role for ten
years and was recently named Director of State Procurement in Supply
Chain for American Water.
