EQT Foundation Awards Nearly $4M During First Half of 2017

Supporting Initiatives throughout Pennsylvania and West Virginia
in Education, Diversity, Community & Economic Development, Environment,
Arts & Culture

PITTSBURGH–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The EQT Foundation awarded grants and scholarships during the first and
second quarters of 2017 totaling nearly $4 million. Approximately 44
non-profit organizations throughout Pennsylvania and West Virginia
received funding for programs that focus on education, diversity,
community & economic development, environment, and arts & culture
throughout EQT Corporation’s operating areas. Additionally, through the
Foundation’s EQT Scholars program, scholarships are providing children
from the Pittsburgh community with access to outstanding Pre-K through
12 educational opportunities.

As the charitable arm of EQT Corporation, a Pittsburgh-based energy
leader, the EQT Foundation helps communities prosper by supporting
education – especially STEM (science, technology, engineering and math)
disciplines; encouraging development of diverse neighborhoods;
supporting the environment and preserving local natural resources; and
sponsoring programs that foster an appreciation of arts and culture.
