Energy Partners David Asmus and Brian Bradshaw Join Sidley in Houston

Austin LLP is pleased to announce that David Asmus and Brian
Bradshaw have joined the firm as partners in its Houston office. Mr.
Asmus and Mr. Bradshaw will be members of Sidley’s Energy practice. Mr.
Asmus will become a co-leader of the Energy practice.
Mr. Asmus has an extensive practice focused on mergers and acquisitions,
project development and finance transactions. He advises clients on
matters ranging from shale and other unconventional resources, to
offshore developments, pipeline and processing projects, and liquefied
natural gas (LNG) as well as petrochemicals and refining. In his M&A
practice, Mr. Asmus has handled over $50 billion of oil and gas
acquisitions in the United States and internationally. His projects
practice is focused on counseling clients on major projects including
both greenfield and brownfield LNG and petrochemical plants as well as
offshore development, joint venture arrangements and unitizations. Mr.
Asmus is a past president of the Association of International Petroleum
Negotiators and a past chair of the Institute for Energy Law.
Mr. Bradshaw’s experience includes advising clients on acquisitions and
divestitures as well as the development and financing of oil and gas,
power and LNG projects. He counsels clients in the energy industry on
both domestic and international transactions with a focus on Latin
America. His project development and financing work focuses on power
development and transmission and upstream, midstream and downstream
projects, including more than 25 LNG projects. He is a past board member
of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators and a past
chair of the Oil and Gas Section of the International Bar Association.
