Edeniq Statement on 2018 Renewable Fuel Standard Final Rule
OMAHA, Neb.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#biofuel–Brian Thome, president and chief executive officer of Edeniq, released
the following statement today in response to the Environmental
Protection Agency’s (EPA) 2018 Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) final
rule:
“At Edeniq, we remain committed to working with our customers on
keeping pace with their recent EPA approvals to use our technology to
produce cellulosic ethanol. While we would have preferred that the 2018
RFS rule include a cellulosic renewable volume obligation (RVO) number
closer to the EPA’s original proposed 384 million gallons, we anticipate
continued momentum for our technology and the value it adds for our
customers.”
An announcement from Sept. 1, 2017 on Thome’s written comments to the
EPA on its proposed rule to set the 2018 cellulosic RVOs can be found here.
