Chevron Phillips Chemical Delivers Plastics Industry Leaders Innovation in the Palm of Their Hands

THE WOODLANDS, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#Marlex–Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP (Chevron Phillips Chemical) is
pleased to announce the launch of FlexiCalc™ software – a new mobile
phone app that revolutionizes how production parameters are calculated
for flexible packaging converters and manufacturers in the plastics
industry. This shift in paradigm offers engineers of all generations,
and anyone involved in the manufacture of polyethylene flexible
packaging substrates, agility and enhanced production in day-to-day
operations for blown film, cast film and extrusion coating.

Chevron Phillips Chemical is introducing the new FlexiCalc™ software app
at Pack Expo Las Vegas, one of the industry’s largest conferences that
showcases packaging innovations. FlexiCalc™ software is now available
for free download in the App Store on the iOS platform; an Android
version will be available in the near future.

FlexiCalc™ software was developed by Chevron Phillips Chemical’s
engineers to support and perform calculations such as blow-up ratio,
line speed, output, roll calculations, roll weight and diameter. The
easy-to-use app extends far beyond flexible packaging applications; it
contains useful tools to estimate composite densities and flow rates in
resin blends as well. It can also be used to convert English to metric
units for the company’s growing international customer base.

When integrated into everyday operations, this technology will give time
back to engineers tasked with developing innovations at the forefront of
the plastics industry. For more information or to download the
FlexiCalc™ software app, visit the App store.
