Airgas to Debut New Products at FABTECH 2017

  • Port-A-Weld and Orbital Welding Systems on Display
  • “Unlocking the Hidden Costs of Welding” Seminar Returns by
    Popular Demand

RADNOR, Pa.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Airgas, an Air Liquide company, and the leading U.S. supplier of
industrial gases, welding technologies, and safety products, announced
today that its Advanced Fabrication Technologies team will be
exhibiting at FABTECH® 2017. Airgas will debut new products at
Booth #B27013, November 6-9 at McCormick Place in Chicago. Welding
and fabrication experts will be on hand to discuss innovative systems
available for rent, lease, and sale. Airgas will feature welding
shielding gases available in all modes of delivery for use in arc
welding and cutting processes. Customers will have an opportunity to
review the company’s newest welding, industrial gas and safety products
firsthand.

The booth will showcase new products such as the multi-functional
Machitech Automation pipe profiling system, which uses a Hypertherm
plasma platform to cut everything from pipe and beams to flat plates. A
Miller Weld Automation robotic welding system, vending solutions and the
Radnor® line of products will be on display. And an OTC
robotic system on a 30-foot slider — which can robotically weld multiple
projects at the same time — will be welding unique giveaways throughout
the conference.

Red-D-Arc Welderentals, an Airgas company, will debut the Port-A-Weld
System (PWS), a portable welding package that allows operators to
quickly and accurately position the welding arc and speed up the welding
process. Various power source and welding head combinations are
available to facilitate submerged arc, MIG and TIG welding with this
system.

A new orbital welding rental solution will be debuted for fusion
welding, tube-to-tube welding, as well as tube cutting and beveling.
Red-D-Arc Welderentals experts will showcase an orbital saw, facer and a
welding system in the booth this year. The new orbital options can be
used for a wide range of applications, from food and beverage and
pharmaceutical uses, to aerospace, semi-conductor, and shipyard
production.

Airgas experts in welding, safety, eBusiness and automation services
will be available to discuss everything from retrofitting and periodic
maintenance schedules for CNC cutting machines to gas efficiency and
online capabilities. Airgas can help customers increase the life span
and productivity of their equipment as well as improve purchasing and
account management through the robust e-commerce system.

Airgas customers and FABTECH attendees are invited to register for
Airgas’ Unlocking the Hidden Cost of Welding seminar, featuring
information on improving welding efficiency. The high-demand program
helps customers assess the economics of their welding processes,
highlighting ways to determine where savings in time and money can be
achieved while concurrently enhancing product quality and reducing
consumption of welding gases and related consumables. Airgas will also
offer seminars on Arc Welding Emissions and Heat Treating. More
information is available at Airgas.com/FABTECH2017.

Registered FABTECH attendees who visit the Airgas exhibit will be
entered into daily drawings to win Beats by Dr. Dre™ headphones, Bose®
speakers, or a student welding kit. Additional information on Airgas’
metal fabrication products and offerings will be available at the Airgas
exhibit (Booth #B27013) or on its website.
