AES Announces 8.3% Increase in Quarterly Dividend
ARLINGTON, Va.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Board of Directors of The
AES Corporation (NYSE: AES) approved an increase of 8.3% in the
Company’s quarterly common stock dividend, from $0.12 per share to $0.13
per share, beginning in the first quarter of 2018.
“We are increasing our dividend for the fifth consecutive year,
following its inception in 2012,” said Tom
O’Flynn, AES Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
“This increase represents our confidence in our ability to generate
strong and growing cash flow, as well as our commitment to drive value
for our shareholders.”
The Company’s first quarter 2018 common stock dividend of $0.13 per
share is payable on February 15, 2018 to shareholders of record at the
close of business on February 1, 2018.
