Adelphia Gateway Extends Open Season Through December 8, 2017

WALL, N.J.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Adelphia Gateway LLC, a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources Corporation
(NYSE: NJR), announced that it is extending its Open Season for firm
transportation capacity through December 8, 2017, in response to
customer requests to provide a delivery interconnection with Columbia
Gas Transmission in the Marcus Hook area, and in recognition of the time
constraints presented by the Thanksgiving Holiday. Binding requests for
capacity will now be accepted through 2 p.m. Central Standard Time on
Friday, December 8.

Adelphia Gateway will operate an 84-mile pipeline with existing
interconnections at Texas Eastern Transmission, LLC in Bucks County and
Columbia Gas Transmission in Northampton County to Marcus Hook in
Delaware County. The southern 50-mile portion of the pipeline will be
repurposed to provide a clean, safe, low-cost supply of natural gas to
the region. The northern 34 miles of the pipeline, extending from Bucks
County to Northampton County, were converted to deliver natural gas in
1996. Once complete, Adelphia Gateway will be able to transport an
incremental 250,000 dekatherms of natural gas per day, approximately 91
million dekatherms per year, providing a direct and flexible path for
delivering locally produced natural gas to growing and underserved
markets in southeastern Pennsylvania and beyond.

The project is expected to close following receipt of all of the
necessary permits and regulatory actions, including those from the
Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. The final size and scope, as well
as the amount of capacity to be made available will be fully defined
based on binding bids received in this Open Season. Adelphia Gateway
expects to place the project into service in late 2018.

For more information on the open season, contact David Johnson or Jack
Herbert at 848-206-8300 or [email protected].
