AXEL US appoints Geoffrey Colpitts as interim president

AXEL Americas and AXEL Royal have appointed Geoffrey (Geof) Colpitts as interim president, effective 1 February 2025.

Colpitts has been working with AXEL US since early 2024 as a consultant with The Persimmon Group, focusing on operational improvements.

His appointment follows the transition of Catarina Rockstrand, who has been acting president of AXEL US, back to her role as Group CFO of the AXEL Group. Similarly, Fredrik Ahlström, who served as acting vice president, will return to his position as group purchasing manager. Both will continue to support Colpitts in his new role.

Colpitts brings extensive leadership experience from both the private sector and U.S. government service. Prior to his consultancy work, he served as president of two companies providing global contracted solutions for the U.S. federal government. His distinguished 30-year career in the U.S. Navy culminated in a senior officer role with major command responsibilities. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Oklahoma.
