AXEL Group opens subsidiary in Asia

The AXEL Group announced the creation of AXEL Asia Pte Ltd (Singapore), a subsidiary of Axel Christiernsson International AB. The company will be marketing lubricating greases as an exclusive agent of manufacturing entities within the AXEL Group.

Stephane Torres has been appointed managing director of AXEL Asia as of July 1st. He will be driving the sales efforts within the region. Torres is of French origin and moved to Australia in 1988. He has a degree in chemistry (Lyon) and holds an MBA (Sydney).

In 2006, he moved to Singapore and since then he has been resident of Southeast Asia. Over the years, Torres has held various positions within the chemical and lubricants industry, and also operated his own sales agency for a period of time.
