Arxada appoints Sanjeev Rastogi as new CEO

Arxada, a global specialty chemicals company based in Basel, Switzerland, announced the appointment of Sanjeev Rastogi as its chief executive officer on September 20, 2023. His appointment was effective immediately. Marc Doyle, who has spearheaded Arxada since its inception, will now serve on the company’s Board of Directors.

Rastogi, who joined Arxada in April 2023, previously led the Consumer Microbial Control (CMC) division. Boasting three decades in the industry, Rastogi has consistently demonstrated his ability to drive profitability and business growth. His leadership at Arxada has already made a significant mark on the CMC business, emphasising innovation and customer focus. Rastogi aims to further Arxada’s mission by concentrating on sustainable innovations and fostering a performance-driven work culture.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Rastogi stated, “Leading Arxada is both an honor and a privilege. I’m eager to build on the strong foundation laid by Marc Doyle and take Arxada to greater heights in the specialty chemicals sector.”

Before his tenure at Arxada, Rastogi held senior positions at Hexion and Honeywell. He earned his MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a PhD in chemical engineering from the University of Delaware.

Reflecting on his journey, Doyle said, “My tenure at Arxada has been incredibly rewarding. I’m confident in handing over the leadership to Sanjeev and will continue to guide Arxada’s future as a board member.” Doyle’s leadership was instrumental in Arxada’s acquisition of Lonza Specialty Ingredients and the subsequent acquisitions of Troy Corporation, a renowned name in microbial control solutions and performance additives, and Enviro Tech Chemical Services,  a leading manufacturer of high-efficacy antimicrobial products.
