Arteco launches new EV coolant
Arteco announced the launch of Freecor® EV Multi 10, a new electric vehicle (EV) coolant specifically designed as a multifunctional coolant for the cooling of e-Motors, power electronics, batteries and all other components in both full electric as well as hybrid vehicles.
In current commercial EVs, regular combustion engine coolants are used for the thermal management of the vehicle. These engine coolants were primarily developed for internal combustion engines (ICE) and could be further optimised for electric vehicles. Freecor® EV Multi 10 changes all this, as it is designed as an all-around EV coolant enhanced to deliver lifelong protection and cooling of electric motors and electronic components.
Freecor® EV Multi 10 was developed specifically intended for use in electrified vehicles (xEVs), ranging from battery to hybrid electric options, Arteco said.
This versatile coolant provides all-around protection for all parts of the EV thermal management system. Its organic additive package (OAT) protects the battery cooling plates, power electronic heat sinks and the combustion engine in hybrid applications. Furthermore Freecor® EV Multi 10 prevents seal wear, leakage and noise issues with e-Motors, according to Arteco.
“With Freecor® EV Multi 10, we are paving the way for a more sustainable and efficient future of mobility. This latest addition completes Arteco’s comprehensive line-up of e-coolants, offering customers a versatile and reliable solution that meets the thermal management needs of both full electric and hybrid vehicles” said Alexandre Moireau, general manager of Arteco.
