Ampol appoints Michele Bardy as new Executive GM of Infrastructure

Ampol has appointed Michele Bardy as the new executive general manager, Infrastructure, reporting to Managing Director and CEO Matt Halliday.

Bardy, with a background in chemical engineering, brings extensive experience from her previous roles, including vice president of Energy Solutions for Eastern Australia at Santos. The strategy, asset development, and operations for their hydrocarbon processing services, clean fuels and carbon capture and storage were among her responsibilities.

Prior to joining Santos, Bardy worked in ExxonMobil’s Downstream Refining and Supply division in Australia and the U.S.A. Bardy has also held leadership roles in the ExxonMobil Adelaide and Altona refineries as well as supply optimisation for Australia and the Asia Pacific Region.

Halliday highlighted Bardy’s expertise in supporting Ampol’s vision for competitive products and services.

“Michele’s extensive previous experience will support our vision to have the most competitive and compelling products and services for our customers,” Halliday said.

“Under Michele’s leadership, the Infrastructure business unit will play a key role in the future of Ampol, and we are investing significantly so this portfolio of assets and our people, that are so important to operating them, are ready for tomorrow.”
