Afton Chemical Corp., a global leader in petroleum additives based in Richmond, Va., U.S.A., has selected ChemPoint.com, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Univar Inc. headquartered in Bellevue, Wash., U.S.A., as its exclusive distributor of packaged goods in the United States and Canada, effective Aug. 1, 2015.

The agreement covers the packaging and distribution of all packaged products by ChemPoint, including the HiTEC®, Polartech® and Actrasol® product lines.

“This relationship was formed to improve Afton’s service offerings to its customers and strengthen our overall supply chain,” said Afton Chemical VP for North America Ken Cundy. “ChemPoint will act as an extension of Afton, improving our lead times and delivery performance for all customers who buy products in totes, drums or smaller packages.”

Afton and ChemPoint have built a custom supply chain network that addresses the specific needs of Afton’s customers, Afton said in a statement. ChemPoint will power this new logistics organization, making products available in more locations, in closer proximity to customers.
