Total beefs up storage capacity

Total Philippines Corp. has boosted its fuel storage capacity by as much as 30% following the upgrade of its marine transportation system through the acquisition of a new cargo vessel. According to Ernst Wanten, president and managing director of Total, the M/T Camille will give the company “a couple of years of extra capacities” to grow further as Total undertakes an aggressive Php300 million (US$6.52 million) expansion program. Built in 2004, the MT Camille can attain an average speed of 11.5 knots while carrying a capacity of as much as 4.12 million liters of different petroleum products, such as gasoline, diesel fuel and even bioethanol.
