PTT expands investment in many areas in ASEAN

PTT Public Company Limited (PTT), Thailand’s largest petroleum firm and its subsidiaries, are speeding up their investment expansion in other member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in the lead-up to the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), set to be formed by 2015.
PTT President Pailin Chuchottaworn said that the Vietnamese government has already approved a joint venture with PTT to build an integrated refining and petrochemical complex in Vietnam’s Binh Dinh province. Pailin said that PTT also plans to open full-service petrol stations in Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar.
Anon Sirisaengtaksin, CEO of PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited, announced that his company is planning a comprehensive petrochemical joint venture in Indonesia, with the new project set to begin in the near future, while his firm’s petrochemical project in Malaysia is expected to start production in 2016.
Meanwhile, PTT has also launched its FitStation Mobile Service, in which its auto service vehicles are deployed in targeted areas to offer oil change and 12 mobile auto maintenance units designed for rapid services. They are powered by solar power, power from batteries, and alternating currents from building outlets, so they can choose suitable renewable energy at the locations where they are providing their services.
