Pertamina exports lubricants to Vietnam
After introducing its lubricants to the Chinese and Australian markets, Indonesia’s state-owned Pertamina Lubricants further expanded its marketing and sales efforts to Vietnam. The first shipment containing variants of Pertamina lubricants such as Meditran SX, Mesran Series and Turalik reached the port of Ho Chi Minh City in late August.
Vietnam has been attracting foreign investments since it shifted from a centralized economic system to a social market economy that is geared towards industrialization. With its limited oil and gas resources, the country depends on fuel and lubricant imports from Thailand, Singapore, and a few multinational companies that have set up oil and gas businesses in the country.
Pertamina Lubricants appointed Indochina Petroleum Trading Joint Stock Company as its exclusive distributor in Vietnam. Pertamina is confident that the superior quality and competitive prices of its lubricants will give its products a competitive edge. (September 1, 2012)
