Sinopec’s lubricant helps new 120-ton liquid oxygen/jet fuel rocket engine to pass test

On August 14, 2012, China’s new 120-ton liquid oxygen/jet fuel rocket engine passed test firing at the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corp. Four fluorinated lubricants provided by Sinopec Lubricant Company for the rocket engine also successfully passed the test.
The successful firing of the new rocket engine is seen as a sound foundation for the first flight of China’s Long March V rocket in 2014 and subsequent manned space and lunar probe missions. (August 14, 2012)
