Petrolimex needs US$438.71 million for infrastructure development

Vietnam National Petroleum Corp. (Petrolimex), the country’s top fuel importer and distributor, estimates that it will need VND9.17 trillion (US$438.71 million) for developing its fuel trading and production infrastructure in the period of 2011-2015.
Under the investment and business development plan approved by the Prime Minister, Petrolimex will build a network of dock warehouses in the northern, central and southern regions of Vietnam, and improve infrastructure of petroleum stations across the country. Parts of the budget will be used to develop fuel warehouses; improve fuel transport system; and, build new petrol stations for management needs. The Prime Minister also wants an ethanol fuel and biodiesel distribution network to be built by 2015. (August 28, 2012)
