Oilmen’s launches new aluminum truck tank
An aluminum truck tank designed for hauling bulk lubricants and diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) was recently introduced by Oilmen’s Truck Tanks, which is based in Spartanburg, South Carolina, U.S.A. On the surface, the truck looks like a standard multi-compartment aluminum tank that is designed for hauling bulk lubricants, mounted on a 2012 Freightliner M2 chassis. But the interior of the truck is lined with a proprietary epoxy lining that Oilmen has tested at their plant for more than a year. The lining had been tested and approved for use with DEF and meets the ISO standards. There is also a complex DEF system within the truck, as well as systems for two bulk lubricant families; the tank’s total payload capacity is 4,500 gallons, 1,200 of which is DEF. (June 7, 2012)
