Vietnam to produce 6 million tons of E5 by year-end

Vietnam expects to produce 6 million tons of bio-gasoline (E5) by the end of this year, as four ethanol plants start producing a total combined annual capacity of 300,000 tons. One of the plants, an affiliate of the state-run Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, PetroVietnam Oil Corp. (PV Oil), has started supplying E5 at 29of its retail outlets, as well as eight PETEC stations in eight cities and provinces across Vietnam. (June 9, 2011)
