Bridgestone ACT to invest US$4.6 million in car maintenance network

Bridgestone ACT announced that it will be undertaking a major expansion of its car maintenance network, including opening three new workshops, renovating current outlets and trying a new marketing approach in Thailand. The planned investment is US$4.6 million to fund the expansion. Vinij Prungpanich, managing director of Bridgestone ACT, said the focus of the new marketing push will be an emphasis on eco-friendly and energy saving. Investments will be made in new communication strategies to increase brand awareness with a major emphasis on suburban and provincial markets. (May 12,2011)
