Subsidized fuel quota for 2011

Indonesia’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) and the House Commission VII agreed to a subsidized fuel quota of 38.591 million kiloliters for 2011. Darwin Zahedy Saleh, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources said that the proposed subsidized fuel volume quota was based on the fact that there would be improved supervision, following the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the National Police, the Attorney General’s Office, and the regional governments. Based on the 2011 Financial Note, the government initially proposed a subsidized fuel volume quota of 36.77 million kiloliters. The proposed quota of 38.591 million kiloliters would consist of 23.190 million kiloliters of premium and bio-premium gasoline, 2.315 million kiloliters of kerosene, and 13.084 million kiloliters of petroleum diesel and biodiesel fuel.
