Cosan launches ethanol plant in Brazil
Cosan put into operation its newest sugar and ethanol plant, in Caarapo, Mato Grosso, in western Brazil. Cosan spent 530 million reais (US$309.94 million) in the 90 million liter ethanol plant, which will also produce 185,000 tons of sugar from 2.5 million tons of sugarcane. “With the opening of another unit, Cosan reaffirms its commitment to the sustainable development and the creation of jobs and income,” said Cosan President Marcos Marinho Lutz.
