Japan launches new grading system for tires

Japan’s domestic tire manufacturers are boosting their sales of fuel-saving models, thanks in part to a new industry initiative for grading the products. Japan has introduced a grading system for mileage boosting tires, which evaluates and labels tires based on rolling resistance and braking performance, a first in the world. (March 1,2011)
