Neste, ADNOC partner to produce high viscosity base oil

Finland’s Neste Oil and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) have joined forces to produce a very high viscosity index base oil in a plant already under construction in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). A subsidiary of ADNOC, the Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Company (Takreer) will be supplying the feedstock and will operate and maintain the new plant. The 600,000 metric ton per year plant is due to be completed by the end of 2013. Neste will be responsible for marketing and sales of the plant’s output. (February 28, 2011)
