Mahindra launches low priced mini-truck
Automobile major Mahindra and Mahindra launched Maxximo, a low-priced Rs2.79 lakh (US$5,978.14) mini-truck which targets the small cargo vehicle segment, the company said in a regulatory filing. The truck, which was unveiled at the Auto Expo in New Delhi, India, will roll out of the company’s Chakan plant in Maharashtra, and comes with a one-year free maintenance package. Maxximo is powered by a two-cylinder engine with four valves per cylinder which can generate up to 25 brake horsepower. “Excellent fuel efficiency of 20 km per liter, a large loading area and 850 kg payload capacity allows the customer to carry a greater load in a single trip,” the company said in a statement.
