Neste Oil starts up renewable diesel plant in Singapore
Finnish oil and gas firm Neste Oil Corp. kicked off operations at its €550 million (US$746.32 million) renewable diesel production unit in Singapore, the company said. The Singapore facility can produce as much as 800,000 tons per year of Neste’s NExBTL biodiesel, with capacity to be further increased. The fuel is compatible with all types of diesel engines and other fuel distribution systems. It cuts by 40% to 80% greenhouse gas emissions compared to petroleum diesel, the company said.
