ExxonMobil introduces two energy efficient lubricants

ExxonMobil Lubricants and Petroleum Specialties Company, a division of Exxon Mobil Corporation, introduced two new Mobil SHC high-performance synthetic oils, the Mobil SHC 600 series and the Mobil SHC Gear Series. The next generation of Mobil SHC 600 series high-performance synthetic circulating and gear lubricants is ideal for use in 1,800 applications by more than 500 major equipment builders and in a wide range of industrial applications. ExxonMobil said its Mobil SHC Gear Series “is a family of high performance, fully synthetic industrial gear oil that had been qualified by major gear original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to meet the latest requirements.” Laboratory testing of the two new Mobil SHC lubricants using industrial gear boxes showed that compared to conventional oils, the two lubricants delivered energy savings. The two new Mobil SHC oils have met ExxonMobil’s qualification for the official designation of “Energy Efficient” and will thus carry the company’s “Energy Efficiency” logo on the product packaging. “With the exceptional performance and additional energy efficiency benefits that Mobil SHC Gear and Mobil SHC 600 deliver, we can help our customers across a broad range of industries maximize their productivity and bring them closer to achieving their own sustainability goals,” said Mike Hawkins, Mobil SHC brand manager, ExxonMobil Lubricants and Petroleum Specialties Company.
