Thai June fuel demand up 2.5%
Demand for oil products in Thailand, excluding bitumen and liquefied petroleum gas, rose 2.5% in June from a year earlier to 560,559 barrels per day, Energy Ministry data showed. The ministry said fuel demand recovered after falling for two straight months because of the improving economy and soaring auto sales, which hit a 10-year high in June, buoyed by pent-up demand and buyer confidence.
