Shell Thailand expects sales of premium fuel to climb
Royal Dutch Shell P.L.C.’s Thai unit said in June that it expects its premium-grade fuel sales to climb 20% by the end of the year. Shell Company in Thailand Chairperson Pissawan Achanapornkul said the company is projecting sales of its premium petrol 95 octane and biodiesel sales to reach 12 million liters per month, following the company’s repositioning of its benzene 95 and B2 biodiesel as “V Power” fuel. Shell’s market research team has also found that demand for premium products in Thailand is growing, despite an overall decline in fuel demand during the current economic downturn. (June 12, 2009)
